Privacy Policy

At FastNote, privacy is not a marketing promise — it is our foundational engineering principle. We believe that your voice notes, personal schedules, thoughts, and alarms are strictly private and belong exclusively to you.

1. Zero Remote Data Collection & Tracking

                🛡️ 100% On-Device Architecture: FastNote does not collect, store, transmit, or share your personal data, audio recordings, or transcripts with any third-party servers or analytics providers.
            

All speech-to-text recognition and natural language intent parsing occur locally on your Apple device using Apple's Neural Engine and CoreML hardware acceleration.

2. Hardware & System Permissions

FastNote requests the following permissions solely to deliver core application functionality:

Microphone (NSMicrophoneUsageDescription): Required to capture your spoken voice memos and alarms. Audio data is streamed directly to on-device speech recognizers and is never uploaded to remote cloud servers.
Speech Recognition (NSSpeechRecognitionUsageDescription): Utilized by the Apple Speech framework and local CoreML models to transcribe voice input into text directly on your device.
Local Notifications (UserNotifications): Used to deliver timely alerts, alarms, and reminder prompts configured by you. We do not use remote push notification servers.
Reminders & Calendar (EventKit - Optional): If you choose to enable bi-directional Apple ecosystem synchronization in Settings, FastNote accesses your local Apple Reminders and Apple Calendar to insert scheduled events upon your instruction.

3. Local Data Storage & SwiftData

Your notes, reminders, audio snippets, and preferences are stored exclusively on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. If you delete FastNote from your device or use the "Delete Note Data" feature in Settings, all locally stored information is permanently removed.

4. In-App Purchases & Subscriptions (StoreKit 2)

FastNote Pro purchases and subscriptions are processed directly and securely through Apple's native StoreKit 2 framework. All financial transactions, billing details, and payment credentials are encrypted and handled exclusively by Apple Inc. We do not have access to your credit card or financial information.

5. Third-Party Libraries & SDKs

FastNote utilizes open-source on-device machine learning models (WhisperKit CoreML). FastNote does not contain third-party advertising SDKs, tracking pixels, or external telemetry libraries.

6. Children's Privacy

FastNote does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Since no personal data is transmitted off the device, the app is safe for users of all ages.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
